Brand New

This song really was the beginning of punk for me. just watch and you'll understand.

The thing I love most about Brand New is that each one of thier albums is somewhat leaning to a different genre. They are very talented and very capable of blowing your socks off in concert!

acoustic....

I really could keep going.. but you'll just have to do the wondering and listenin. Good stuff!

Dashboard Confessional

Probably had the biggest effect in my music choice simply because I was learning the guitar and found that it was simple to play some of thier songs. difficult to sing I might add, but very cool to be able to play. I love the 'old dashboard' where he wasn't affraid to sing soft and acoustic. It's a beautiful thing to be able to listen to 3 albums in a row, over and over and over again. Not to many bands have the privelege to stick in my CD player as long as Dashboard Has been there. Long live EMO Acoustic! ha!

Weezer

Matt Andreason if you ever read this I owe this one to you. Weezer 'Blue' album was the first album I really could sit down and listen to over and over and over again. I don't know if I could explain why it was so, but I just know that it simply was something that I really liked and loved to share with friends.

They really have a great way of composing songs to portraying a feeling or story.
I guess I just really feel like they were wierd guys who were really good at writing music. his vocals also add a unique taste to thier style, very cool.

Weezer

YELLOWCARD

Created a different world of music for me. A punchy sound but not heavy enough to be considered hard. I guess his voice got me and the bands ability to create a different mood with thier music and lyrics. "Ocean Avenue" my second favorite album because of the quality music i felt that they produced. Theri stage presence is incredible. they know how to rock out, but also, sound good at the same time while doing so.

check it out....

Colbie Caillat

I have to admitt, I ran into her myspace over a year and a half ago before she made it huge. Her voice style and music combination make her sound a warm welcoming sound. Almost as though you'd be emberassed to be cought listening to her, but also want to share it with others at the same time.

This is the first song I heard from her and I absolutely love it. great vocals, great guitar and great musicianship from both of them.

she is for real and is good at what she does.
